Halliday's Homes & Hardware founded in July 2010

 

Richie Halliday is the proprietor of Halliday’s Homes & Hardware

and proud to be an independent shop keeper.

Richie has over 25 years in retail, both buying and selling. His experience managing a
hardware store, timber importer, building supplier, as a market trader, and time as a young man at Waitrose all led him to his next step.

He was convinced an independent traditional hardware shop would be welcomed and supported by the local community and tradesmen alike. With a personal service at the heart of his business.

Halliday’s remains a traditional hardware shop with an emphasis on decorating and a focused collection of fine, design led premium paint brands. We continue to expand our offering of paints, today it includes Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Mylands, Sanderson, Zoffany.

To support both our customers and paint brands, Halliday’s offer on an ad hoc basis an informal colour and finish consultancy. We provide focus and confidence to paint choices and aim to inspire and reassure with a passion for design.

Recent additions include the beautiful and practical brush brand Redecker and the Goldleaf brand of RHS endorsed gardening gloves. Both ranges proving yet again our customers appreciate quality and durability.

He remains so grateful to those who support him, shop with him, stop for a chat and the friendship from the other Leopold shopkeepers, all of whom play a huge part in the success of Halliday’s.

When not in the shop Richie enjoys the odd glass of whisky, a beach holiday and a game of poker. He has a passion for collecting, amongst other things contemporary art, glassware and trainers!
